Mary Macleod MP attended the Naming ceremony and Service of dedication at the Chiswick Lifeboat Station on Friday, 28th September 2012 at 2:30pm.
Speaking about the event to celebrate the naming of the Chiswick RNLI Lifeboat, Mary said:
‘The Chiswick Lifeboat and its crew are unsung heroes. Many residents may not even be aware that the station exists. But this RNLI station has rescued over 1,000 people since it was created ten years ago and runs approximately 100 rescue missions each year. I can’t praise the full time and the volunteer crew too highly for their selfless commitment to keeping the river safe and secure for everyone.’
