Local MP Mary Macleod is organising a ceremony to honour volunteers in the local community.
She would like to ask for your help in identifying local volunteers, voluntary organisations and businesses that have made an outstanding contribution within the London Borough of Hounslow. There are ten awards and you can nominate as many people, for as many awards as you like. The nomination forms should be completed by the 7th June 2012 and can be found on her website at www.marymacleod.com.
Mary commented: “During my time as a Member of Parliament, I have met many people, young and old, who contribute to their families, schools, hospitals and many voluntary organisations, with little or no public recognition. I believe it is time that we honoured these exceptional individuals and organisations and I am asking for your help to do this.”
The ten awards will honour individuals, voluntary organisations and businesses that have made a significant contribution to an individual’s life or had a profound effect on the wider community.
Mary said: “I really want to hear about the untold stories of care and personal achievement that often go unrecognised. If you know someone whose voluntary work is worthy of an award then you should complete a nomination form by the 7th June 2012.”
