Welfare-to-work organisation, Reed in Partnership, welcomed Mary Macleod MP to their Hounslow office in West London on Friday 22nd October. Mary Macleod took the opportunity to learn more about the services Reed in Partnership offer to people on health-related benefits. The visit was especially significant in light of the Comprehensive Spending Review and the Coalition Government's plans to support more people back into work.
During her visit, Mary Macleod met with the branch manager, Shirley Allen, and took a tour of the premises, meeting with Employment Advisers and customers. The office is in her constituency of Brentford and Isleworth, and specialises in helping people on health-related benefits prepare for and gain employment.
Mary Macleod MP said: "I was really pleased to learn about the work that Reed in Partnership is doing in Hounslow to help people on health related benefits find work. It was great to meet some of the customers they are supporting and see the positive contribution they make in Hounslow."
Shirley Allen said: "It was a pleasure to meet Mary Macleod MP, to learn from her knowledge of the local community and to discuss what we do in her constituency."
"We're really proud of the work we do and it was great to have the chance to share this with the local MP. Anyone in the Hounslow Borough on health-related benefits who wants help finding a job or local businesses looking for staff can find out more about our free service by telephoning 0208 538 2830."
