On Friday 16th September, Mary visited Tesco Extra in Osterley to present local primary school students with school sports equipment which they had gained through the Tesco for Schools voucher scheme.
Since 1992, Tesco has offered schools the opportunity to collect Tesco vouchers and exchange them for sports equipment. During the most recent promotion, local schools and sports clubs collected an impressive total of 308,418 vouchers and ordered equipment worth over £8,800.
Mary said: “I was delighted to be on-hand to deliver some new school equipment to local schools on behalf of Tesco as part of their Tesco for Schools and Clubs programme. Chatsworth Primary School and Worple Primary School received the much-needed equipment from Tesco and I’m sure they will put it to good use.
The Tesco programme is a great example of what we can achieve when we come together and work for the benefit of the local community.”
