MP Calls on residents to join the Turnham Green Action Team!
Mary is today asking local residents to help her in her campaign for Piccadilly Line trains to stop at Turnham Green tube station.
Last year, Mary secured an agreement from the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, for Transport for London (TfL) to have a consultation on the issue. TfL have just confirmed that they expect their consultation to start shortly and continue until the beginning of October.
Mary said: "It is crucial that as many Chiswick residents as possible let the Mayor and TfL know what they think - the more people that respond the better! It is clear that thousands of residents support the Piccadilyl Line stopping at Turnham Green. Local people deserve the best transport links and I am determined to make that a reality".
Mary is setting up a Turnham Green Action Team to lead the campaign and is asking for local residents to come forward and help work with her in the weeks ahead.
Mary continued: "Please do get in touch if you would like to be part of the Turnham Green Action Team. We will work together to make sure the views of local residents are heard. If we can get the Piccadilly Line stopping at Turnham Green throughout the day, it will make a big difference to the local community, by improving connectivity, providing a great level of service and regenerating our local high streets".
