Mary Macleod hails Piccadilly line petition numbers
Local MP Mary Macleod today welcomed the growing numbers signing her online petition to stop Piccadilly line trains at Turnham Green station throughout the day. Mary launched the petition towards the end of last month and it has already gathered nearly 1,700 signatures.
Mary said:
“Stopping the Piccadilly line at Turnham Green station throughout the day will improve lives for local residents. Chiswick people realise this and I am pleased that so many have decided to support our campaign by signing the petition. I strongly encourage all who have not already done so to sign up so that we can let TfL and the Mayor of London know how we feel about Piccadilly line trains stopping at Turnham Green. Please also encourage your friends and family in other parts of London to sign up too”.
TfL launched the first ever public consultation on this matter on 27th August and it will run until 7th October. Local residents will be able to attend the Chiswick Area Forum on Tuesday 24th September at 7:30pm in Chiswick Town Hall, where the issue of Piccadilly line trains stopping at Turnham Green will be discussed.
