Eid Mubarak!

I send my warmest wishes to you all as you come together to celebrate the festival of Eid-al-Fitr. After a month of contemplation, fasting, praying and putting aside many of the things that we can often take for granted, Muslims can now celebrate this joyous occasion with friends and family.

Among the many celebrations in London, the Mayor of London supports the Eid Festival at Trafalgar Square on Saturday 2nd August where everyone is encouraged to join in the celebrations. This spirit of togetherness is so important to our communities and helps to promote the true values of Islam – honesty, kindness and goodwill to others.

May this Eid-al-Fitr bring joy, happiness and prosperity for you and your families.
